EVENING BAGS

This is the most dazzling collection in the Gallery. Bags clad with light, for evening wear or cocktail parties, simple or extravagant, but all with one common denominator - beads. From the smallest Venetian beads, to the larger Bohemian glass beads.
A collection that derives from a passion shared by the women of the family, started by the Austrian mother of the present owner Gloria Beggiato, who still jealously treasures a few of the pieces.
The collection consists of 150 items ranging from the late 19th century to the 1960s. Vintage evening bags of the 1920s, or with Art Deco motifs in shades of silver and light grey, that was fashionable in the 1930s, or the more geometric minimalist designs of the 1960s.
The preciousness of this collection has been particularly fascinating for the “Antiquariato “ Magazine, which described and photographed it in its articles.
